This past weekend I went to Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown for a Peaches show. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the opening act was a familiar name — Christeene. Christeene is a drag artist from Austin performed by Paul Soileau. When I lived in Austin, I knew many of Christeene’s creative collaborators including PJ Raval and Otis Ike. So I’d met Paul and photographed Christeene on a few occasions. This is one of the tamest images I have of Christeene from a 2010 show with Katey Red and Big Freedia at Scoot Inn in Austin.

I really don’t know how to respond to this one since I don’t what Pappy & Harriet’s is. I thought you were going camping with the dogs. ________________________________
