I met Jerome at a community center boxing gym in Austin, Texas. He had just won at the Texas Regional Golden Gloves as a novice. Training at the gym with the aspirations of turning professional, Jerome was also a community college student along with working a full-time night job and a weekend job. So for a few weeks I documented Jerome, his work ethic and his ambition to to achieve bigger things in and out of the ring. All photographs by Mike Andrick.
