Climate Ride: Day 0, San Francisco

While my Climate Ride adventure officially begins Sunday, early this morning we departed San Francisco for Fortuna where we begin our 327-mile trek tomorrow morning.

I snapped this image with my iPhone before we headed north. It was my first time to cross the Golden Gate Bridge. In six days I’ll be crossing it again on my bicycle.

Thank you again to all my family and friends who helped me raise more than $4,000 to support climate change awareness and to make cycling safer across the country.

Pappy & Harriets

I recently acquired a Nikon L35AF — one of the original Nikon point-and-shoot cameras and also the first camera ever had. It was with that same camera that I started shooting my friends’ bands and was inspired to take up photography. It’s fun to have the camera again despite the cost of “cheap” film and lousy processing and scanning. Nevertheless, I took some random snapshots on our recent trip to Joshua Tree including this one of some folks having beers and waiting for a table at Pappy and Harriets.
